Research Projects
This is a selection of design projects I worked on for research projects completed through Otago University and AUT. These projects centre around increasing local biodiversity and creating nature-based design solutions.
I was contracted by the individual groups that were leading these research projects to carry out branding, print, and web design projects.
Aotearoa BiodiverCity
Aotearoa BiodiverCity aims to become a reputable official resource amongst council organisations, businesses, and general public for increasing and supporting biodiversity in Aotearoa.
GardenStar
Through the same team that I worked with on Aotearoa BiodiverCity, GardenStar is aimed specifically at the general public. Their aim is to create a tool that allows people to assess the biodiversity in their own backyard, and provide tools and resources that help them increase it.
NUWAO
NUWAO aims to develop nature-based urban design solutions, rooted in Indigenous knowledges that support climate change adaptation and individual and community wellbeing in different contexts across Aotearoa and Oceania. I was contracted to design a 42 page guide, as well as other print collateral for a presentation they were giving. This project followed existing brand guidelines.
